About Cruise Fee Check and how we verify
Cruise Fee Check is an independent, free planning site for first-time and budget cruisers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any cruise line. No cruise line has been contacted for this site; all data comes from public web pages.
Method
- Each fee, rule or policy is read from a public page, preferring the cruise line's own FAQ or terms page. Where a line's page would not load for us, we say so and cite news reports instead. Cruise-line websites are now checked by a person, not by automated tools; when a figure has not been re-checked, the page says "not re-verified" and keeps the date it was last read.
- Each entry shows its source link(s) and the date we last read them. Entries we have not confirmed are marked "not verified" rather than estimated.
- We do not preset fares, drink prices or excursion prices. You enter your own.
- When sources disagree (for example, a news report versus the line's own page), we say so, and we log dated changes on the fee changes log.
Limits
- Fees change without notice and vary by ship, sailing and booking date. Verify on your booking before paying.
- We cover six mainstream lines for now; lines not listed are not "worse", just not yet checked. Port parking rates come from U.S. port authority pages, and refund and complaint steps from federal agencies (FMC, CDC).
- Accessibility and document content is general information, not medical or legal advice.
Money and affiliate disclosure
This site is part of the For Good Deals network and shows For Good Deals branding. It may carry advertising or sponsorships, and any paid placement or affiliate link will be clearly labeled next to the item. Paid placement does not change our facts, sources or listings. Some links on this site may be affiliate or sponsored links. If we earn a commission or have any paid relationship with a link, brand or placement, we disclose it clearly where it appears and in our disclosures. Paid placements and affiliate links will not change the verified figures.
Corrections and removal requests
We work to keep every page accurate. If you spot an error, an outdated detail, or information about you that you want corrected or removed, email [email protected] with the page link and what needs fixing.
How we handle it:
- We review every correction or removal request within 7 days.
- If something is wrong, we fix it or remove it.
- When we correct a page, we add a note at the bottom with the date of the correction.
- If we decide no change is needed, we reply and explain why.
